Birthworker Meetup

Join us for an opportunity to get to know each other and our individual passions in birthwork on a deeper level. Meeting and joining forces through face to face interactions.

“I know you from Facebook, but do I know you?”

We should be able to easily recognize one another if we passed in Target, and this isn't always the case with Facebook groups. We should lean on each other for support or referrals for areas of expertise, and feel confident that collaboratively we can reach more families with our work. We all have a unique story and spark in the work.

This meetup will also lend the opportunity to dig in and do a dash of professional development.

This is one you don’t want to miss! https://www.facebook.com/events/2359322317684644/

Light refreshments provided.

This event is for any and all Medical Doctors, Nurses, Midwives, Doulas, Service Providers, Instructors, and Independent Contractors that work around the area of birth/expectant families/postpartum support and services.

The Technology Scanning /Learning to Feel Energies

For centuries Natural Healers and others have used their hands to "Feel" or "Scan" various kinds of Energies.

Now you can learn the Skill of "Feeling Energy" OR you may vastly improve this important ability to a far greater degree – in only one day!

Have you ever wondered if someone was telling you the Truth?
Have you ever wondered which product to buy when you were out shopping?
Have you ever wanted to feel "Energy" but do not have confidence in your ability to be accurate?
Do you think that "other people" might be able to feel Energy more accurately than you can?

Some Energy Healers have already studied the ancient Art of "Feeling Energies" or "Scanning" ...
yet many really feel no confidence in the precision of their skill, they hesitate to explore or may frequently disregard their intuitional guidance - that may occur when "Feeling Energy" or "Scanning".
Many people simply have never had a real opportunity to partake in a guided Practice of this ancient Art.
Become confident in using your senses to grasp the multiple kinds of information available to you - through more deeply understanding the nature of Subtle Energy.

Individuals of our generation are often interested in the practical aspects involved in developing the skill needed to determine - which in a series of goals might be best for them.
Spiritual students may also learn to evaluate their own Spiritual Development through monitoring their progress through Scanning.
The objective of this course is not to teach anyone Pranic Energy Healing.
The purpose of this course is to assist both lay people and Energy Healers alike ... to fine tune their ability to easily be able to distinguish degrees of, or qualities of - Subtle Energies - from one another.

$198 - Certification fee is included! Please join us for one day that will change your life!

Summer Solstice Blessingway

Our Summer Solstice Blessingway is an opportunity to welcome the blessings that the long summer months have to offer. Summer Solstice marks the longest day of the year and during this time period we recognize the abundance of light and energy that surrounds.

Each season marks a particular focus in life. Fall is for shedding the weight of the seasons past. Winter reminds us that stillness and dormancy prepare us. In Spring we plant seeds so that in Summer we can harvest the fruits of our labor.

As we enter into this bountiful season let’s get clear on what it is we wish to welcome in.

A Blessingway Ceremony has traditionally been held for anyone entering a new role; expectant mothers, a nomadic experience, etc. The idea is to send that person off into the new path gracing the way with “good fortune and blessings” We turn to this age old tradition to honor this new fruitful season.

We invite you to Bless your own path through this unique Blessingway Ceremony as we recognize this abundant time period.

We’re excited to have Work of Heart Facepainting products on hand. We will have organic jewels for purchase as well as someone assisting application so that you may adorn yourself for our ceremony. This will be in addition to your registration, so please bring cash or Venmo.

To make our time together even more connected we ask you to bring a few things:

• A Journal

• Flower(s) for the ceremony circle

• A sacred item; crystal, feather, penny, shell, etc

• Open hearts to share in this incredible journey together

Wear comfortable clothing; yoga wear or something flowy you don’t mind sitting on the ground in. You’re welcome to bring a blanket or meditation pillow for your comfort as well.

All sales are final. No refunds will be considered for any reason. Thank you for understanding that you're making an investment in yourself with this journey. Threre will be nerves, fears, did I make the right decision... if you're having these feelings it just means you're diving deeper than you have before... and that my dear is exactly where you are yearing to go!

The Mindful Mama Flow
May
26
to Jun 9

The Mindful Mama Flow

HOSTS: Kaitlin Coghill (Birth + Postpartum Doula/Mentor) and Rebekha Wolf (Yoga Teacher and Reiki Master)

DATES: May 26, June 2, June 9

TIME: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

ABOUT: The overall intention of the Flow is to explore a variety of ways that we can bring mindfulness and community-care into our daily routines as mothers. We unite in positivity and truth, modeling for our children what it actually means to care for both ourselves and others. There will be nourishing food and tea provided at each gathering; simply bring yourselves and your sweet babies (if you’d like) to be shrouded in love and support by all in attendance.

Built into the foundation of each session is an understanding that as humans we are animals. We are wild at heart and completely intertwined with nature itself. When we view motherhood through a lens of nature’s cycles and processes, we are able to move past the limiting view of motherhood as something to conquer and make perfect, a mindset that serves no one. Thus we acknowledge that in taking care of ourselves, other mothers and all babies/children, we are taking care of the earth itself. The ways we do this are through movement, stillness and centering.

This series, though focusing on the first year of motherhood, is for all mothers to attend no matter the ages of their children. We welcome your wisdom and insight, and respect that not everyone was able to fully immerse themselves in their immediate postpartum experience. Consider this an opportunity to begin anew.

MAY 26: BODY

This first gathering will focus on our bodily well-being. How do you feel in your body? How have you thanked your body? How does it feel for your body to be shared with another body multiple times per day? We will dive into these topics and more as we meditate on the value of movement, honoring physical sensations and the importance of taking care of our bodies (and our baby’s bodies) from the inside out.

  • Meditation + Circle

  • Yoga

  • Body-Centered Nourishment

JUNE 2: MIND
This second gathering will focus on the wellness of your mind and mental health. What is your level of underlying calm? How do you implement mindfulness into your everyday actions? How does mindfulness help in bonding with your baby? How can you nourish your mind while continuing to care for another? These are a few of the paths we will aim to follow as we share with one another the ways we stay (mostly) sane in the throes of rebirth and motherhood.

  • Meditation + Circle

  • Journaling/Art

  • Mind-Centered Nourishment

JUNE 9: SPIRIT
Our third and final gathering will focus on the wellness of YOU; the “you” that you are deep down in your center; the “you” that is made up of your emotions, experiences and intuitive knowing. How can you change the parts of your day that don’t bring you joy? How can you honor the more negatively viewed emotions that you feel? How does your spirit relate to your baby’s spirit? How has your spirit evolved since giving birth? Together we will explore these questions alongside the power of setting intentions and choosing your reality. We will remind ourselves that we are not victims of our motherhood experience, rather, we are in charge of it completely, and we are fully able to embrace our spirits as a vital part of our existence on this earth.

  • Meditation + Circle

  • Yoga

  • Spirit-Centered Nourishment

Move, Develop, Thrive: A Tummy Time Parent and Me Series

Join Dr. Amanda Montoya, pediatric physical therapist, in this interactive, fun, and supportive 3-part series exploring your baby’s introduction to movement and tummy time. Movement is one of the first ways babies begin to understand themselves and the world around them. This workshop will give you the tools for shaping the foundation of your baby’s body and brain.

Tummy time is essential for physical and cognitive development. Lack of tummy time can contribute to a “flat head” and developmental delays. However, tummy time isn’t as simple as putting your baby down on the floor, especially when they cry! Bring your baby and participate in this workshop to experience ways to easily integrate tummy time into your daily routine in order to optimize their developmental skills and promote gross motor, fine motor, sensory and visual development. When your baby loves moving, playing and learning on the floor, your experience and connection during the first year will completely change for the better!

3-part workshop:

May 8: Introduction to tummy time, why it’s important and why it’s so challenging for babies. Introduction of tips and tricks for easier tummy time positioning including propping.

May 15: Discussion of challenges and progression into stage 2 of tips and tricks for happier tummy time. Respecting your baby, listening, and meeting them where they are.

May 22: Introduction of play positions that lead to achievement of milestones, sensory and body exploration, and thriving in the first 12 months.

Length: 1 hour

Ages: newborns to pre-crawlers

Bring: a blanket and favorite toy

Price: $75 for the 3 part series (minimum of 4 participants, maximum of 10 to provide an intimate setting)

Pre-registration required. To reserve your spot, please email: amandamontoyapt@gmail.com

FREE Five Best Sleep Tips Talk w/ Certified Child Sleep Consultant Andi Metzler

Join Andi Metzler for her 5 Best Sleep Tips Talk where she shares her wisdom about consolidated nighttime sleep, short and enjoyable bedtime routines and predictable naps.

Who is Andi? A sleep consultant who helps parents go from feeling exhausted, frustrated and overwhelmed by their child's sleep to feeling confident, well-rested and loving bedtime again.

Here are a few fun facts about Andi:

  • I was once an exhausted new mom and when I found someone to help me get my second child sleeping well, it changed my life! I worked on improving my first child’s sleep on my own and it took MONTHS to see improvement.

  • My two kids were my very first "clients" and they really helped me understand children and sleep from a very personal place.

  • I absolutely LOVE my job.  I am grateful every day that my own struggles getting my kids to sleep well led me to new career years ago.

  • When I'm not working, I can be found hanging out with my 2 kids and husband and exploring Southern California.
